Review: Crave by Monica Murphy

Review:

Okay, I really, really liked this book. Although it was short, it had a lot of character depth and chemistry!

I really like how this story was told from two POVs: the hero, Archer and the heroine, Ivy.

I know the blurb said that Archer wanted to be the last man standing but we find out that he wasn’t really sure that he would be the last one standing because he has always had a thing for Ivy.

I loved how open minded he was to himself about his feelings for this girl. And I thought it was truly amazing a how Monica wrote about it from Archer’s POV. I felt like it was true and honest and come on, the girl’s the sister of his best friend Gage. You know that is off limits and forbidden! Drama drama drama~

But then at the same time Archer can’t help but lose himself in her presence and the feelings grow higher and higher to uncontrolled heat! You can’t turn a blind’s eye on the feelings of the heart you know. And Archer’s not one to take No as an answer lightly.

I liked Ivy. She had crushed on Archer years ago as a child but learn that he was no good for her, especially when he’s best friends with her brother!  But years had gone by without a hitch or more than a fleeting glance and now he wants to be closer, as in adult relations: acquaintances!

I liked that Ivy knew what kind of person her brother and his friends were and knew to not mess with their thing. But I also adored how she fitted in somewhere with them and how they all got along nicely like a family.

I really liked how she would turn the tables on Archer and make him…weak, in awe, just…dumbfounded. She obliviously know how to work around Archer and get him off guard. But then I also didn’t like how she went too easily when she had told herself time an time again the total opposite of what she was going to do, want or need.

Example: Ivy didn’t want to sleep with Archer and told him straight up that she didn’t want to sleep with him. And then she goes and asked him to do her a favor and they end up sleeping with each other! Come on~argh. At least I was all well and in with Archer and his intentions. Ivy just….tsk tsk tsk

I really do adore Ivy and her wit. And Archer is just adorable but rough and a jerk, at times, but they really do work together and compliment one another fabulously!

one other thing, I did want to go more into depth with Archer’s family because that was one thing that really stuck out from him. Even though we got to know his family background through little thoughts and stuff from both POVs i really wanted him, Archer, to explore it more for us and maybe to Ivy too just so that we as readers (or just me) can get to know that side of him more that what we’re shown to know.

But anyways, like I said wrote, I really enjoyed or even loved this story! So if you want a quick fast romance with steamy scenes, this book is for you! Or just a quick read is also fine.
